How long does a new enclosure take?
Four to eight weeks is typical, and it moves with the season. Shops here get busy ahead of summer. A template visit comes first, then fabrication, then a fitting, so budget for two or three trips to your boat.
How long should canvas last in this sun?
Five to seven years for good acrylic canvas that gets rinsed. Clear vinyl windows are the weak point and often need replacing at three to five years, sooner if they get wiped dry with a rough towel.
Can a shop match my existing canvas?
Usually, if the fabric line is still in production. Bring a photo of the old piece and any tag you still have. Matching a discontinued color often means replacing the whole set rather than one panel.
